God Of War 5: What has Santa Monica hinted about?

Good News! Kratos is returning to the screen. Not only to the video games’ screen but the cinema screen. It is reported that Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista are in the running to play Kratos in the God Of War movie.

God of War 5 also known as God of War 2 is highly anticipated, as Ragnarock is coming. Norse mythology is all coming together. There are so many subtle hints throughout the universe already. The latest God Of War installment is going to b be the first in a trilogy about the Norse mythology.

There have been hints from Santa Monica Studios’ creative team that Kim Newman would be back in action, as this was posted on January 10th, 2020. Santa Monica Studio is the studio behind the God Of War franchise.

Another one is Ragnarock’s appearance in the God of War 5 for which a special theme in collaboration with the one-year anniversary cover poster introduced.

In addition, at the end of God of War 4, Atrayes had an almost dream but it felt real and then we saw Kartos saw Thor face to face. So, is it going to be Thor vs Kratos in next installment of the game?

The game is expected to drop on Play Station 5, as the director Cory Barlog hinted that it would be a next-generation game. PS 5 is rumored to have 8k (60 frames) resolutions for God Of War 5.

Cory is also not in a mood to create Next-generation games as according to him, it is going to take too much time.

God Of War 5: Expected Plot – Who is Atreus?

Now we know that Odin is going to be absolutely infuriated by what Kratos and Tres did to his sons, as he has multiple sons.

The biggest theory out there is God of Thunder is coming in the God of War 5 as we have seen in the post-credit scenes.

Ragnarok would essentially be doomsday in the Norse mythology.

Kratos and Baldur, the Norse god of light will fight for one last time. Kratos will defeat Baldur and then head to Jotunheim along with Atreus to meet his wife. New secrets about Atreus would be revealed with help from his mother Faye.

That’s where Kratos will discover that Atreus is half-god and half-giant, who is also known as Loki.

Some theories have even predicted that Atreus’s real name is Ragnarok. This means that this little boy is a god-killer himself.

God Of War 5: Release Date

In one of the interviews, Corey was asked how could he release the next God Of War faster? To which he explained why it took five years to develop God of War 5.

He explained most of the time got consumed in ‘’fine-tuning the engine’’.

As now God Of War has a steady foundation, the next title would probably not take five years.

That means that God Of War  would be anywhere between 2020 to 2022.

God of War is expected to release in May 2021 but the date could be pushed further because the production operation is halted at the moment amid lockdown measures due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

What is the future of God Of War?

Dealing with its director Corey Barlog, as he was asked lot of questions during an interview concerning the future of the series. Corey was asked how many games does he have planned?

Corey revealed that he has five games mapped out. That means he has a lot of stories left in his brain’s think tank. That means a lot more stories about Kratos and his son Atreus.
