When is the Group D and NTPC Exam Conducted?

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Group-D recruitment exam is a fantastic opportunity for students interested in working for the Indian Railways. On behalf of the RRB, the Railway Recruitment Cell administers the RRB Group-D test on a national basis. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will hold a recruitment test this year to fill roughly 1,03,769 open positions. The recruitment is for Level-1 posts of the seventh CPC pay matrix, including Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant in various technical areas, Assistant Pointsman, among others. Over 1.15 crore people have applied for the RRC Group D 2022 test, which has 1,03,769 vacancies. There will be no two-stage exam, as opposed to the previous pattern. Applicants will be evaluated based on a single-stage exam. Beginning in July 2022, a single-stage CBT exam will be conducted. Because there will be no CBT 2 exam, candidates will be shortlisted using percentile-based normalization and a merit criterion based on age. The RRB Group D admit card 2022 for the first stage of CBT will be available online three to six days before the exam. To avoid any last-minute hassles, candidates must log in with their credentials and download their admit card from the RRBs’ regional websites on the date of release.

RRB NTPC CBT – 2

Every year, the Railway Recruitment Board holds several exams to screen applicants for various posts. RRB NTPC published a notification on February 28th, 2019, to employ aspirants for the Non-Technical Popular Categories. After a prolonged wait, the RRB NTPC exam, 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1) was held in seven phases from December 28, 2020 to July 31, 2021. The results of CBT-1 were published between March 30 and April 1, 2022 on the official websites of RRBs. Shortlisted candidates have been eagerly waiting for the CBT-2 stage.

The exam dates are as follows:

  • The 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2) for the shortlisted candidates for Pay Levels 4 and 6 in CBT-1 will be held on May 9 and 10, 2022.
  • Pay Levels 2, 3, and 5 will have their exam schedules issued at a later date.

All other pay levels’ second stages are still to be disclosed. The RRB NTPC exam is held to select candidates for positions in the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC), such as Station Master, Traffic Assistant, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, and Commercial Apprentice, etc.
