Would there be Taboo season 2?

Taboo, a BBC TV series, is created by Tom Hardy, Chips Hardy, and Steven Knight. The story is based on series (eight chapters) composed by Tom and Chip Hardy set in 1814.

Tom Hardy’s conviction from the battalion representation of the 19th century created by Steven Knight is one masterpiece written about a period genre.

The show is the reference to the dark side of London – the wretchedness of the typical employee, the growth of the abundance of the wealthy, the political revenge, and a lot more.

It is due to massive viewership and fan following, it drew BBC to stage the second installment. Taboo was dropped as mini-series that consist of 7 or 8 episodes.

Taboo Season 2: Release Date

The first season was aired on BBC One in the UK in January 2017 followed by the United States premiere on FX around the same time.

Despite many conciliation talks, the makers including the mastermind behind Peaky Blinders, Steven Knight confirmed the second installment and reportedly finished with the script.

However, the rigid schedule of Hardy has also delayed the production in the past. The shooting was set to start early in 2019 but delayed as Hardy was busy shooting for Venom 2.

Together with the saddening breakout of the pandemic around the world, the release date of Taboo season 2 is hanging in the air. It was reported that the production for the second installment began in 2018 and the launch was mid or late 2020.

Even the in-house production team hasn’t confirmed anything signaling Taboo Season 2 happening, we may need to wait more than expected.

Taboo season 1 ended with James Delaney coming back to England and forming allies. We may witness James recollecting his memory. The narrative of the season is set in 1814.

Tom Hardy left announcements teasing some information about next season. The Taboo season 2 would revolve around the US spy community ‘Kalani’.

He added, ‘’ I think the biggest thing that we had from the original context of the show is that James is the least savage person in the room while around the business of their king. Those that are seen as more barbarous to those that are on the outside. Those that are voiceless have kind of banded together to use their intellect to become a force to be reckoned with.

James moved to the shores of America, the following bit of an agreement is going to be based on the Organization and Delaney.

Tom Hardy as James Delaney would find a more viewpoint to his mother’s native American heritage. The fans will also witness the mystery behind James’ tattoo.

We could also understand the causes of his battles with the East India Company and Prince Regent.

Taboo Season 2: Cast

Beginning with Tom Hardy as the star character, the rest of the members will remain slightly unchanged.

All the characters would likely to be reprised for another season. Tom Hardy as James Keziah Delaney, Leo Bill as Benjamin Wilton, Jessie Buckley as Lorna Delaney, Oona Chaplin as Zilpha Geary, Stephen Graham as Atticus, Jefferson Hall as Thorne Geary, David Hayman as Brace, Edward Hogg as Michael Godfrey, and many others.

Taboo season 2 may witness new characters as they may be added for eventful twists which will be later revealed post-filming.
